This joint initiative is unique, as it is the first time the above two voluntary organisations have come together to work for the Community, with the support of mainstream agencies such as, schools, children’s centres, PCT’s, libraries etc. This will underpin what is at the heart of the Government Agenda: The Welfare of Children and Families.

Over the next 5 years we will engage families and children with diverse approaches to learning in order to enhance their skill sets, employability, and family relationships. Our purpose is to improve their self-confidence and enable them to access mainstream services, thus strengthening community cohesion.

The core aim of the project is:

  • To provide insight to parents as to how their children are taught and enable them to support their children’s learning
  • To offer parents and children quality time to learn together helping to cultivate strong family relationships.
  • To build strong and effective partnerships with local agencies and other community organisations.
