ATP-UK's First Questionnaire
As laid out elsewhere on this site, the whole purpose of this charity is to assist the Tamil community, especially the 2nd generation; enabling them to become effective contributors to society: but, so as to be able to effectively provide them with the necessary tools to achieve their goals, we continually need to find ways of determining the community’s needs. Our current drive to ascertain those requirements comes in the form of a questionnaire. The questionnaire was suggested after a meeting with our newest volunteer, Anne Kaes, who came to us with a desire to put her expertise at the disposal of the Tamil community. She has worked very hard, in collaboration with a group of young Tamils, to devise a brief survey which will give us all the pertinent information required without the need for invasive, time consuming questions about personal minutiae. The information gleaned from these questionnaires will prove invaluable in helping us tailor our future activities around those issues which are of particular importance to our community. We hope, in the future, to be able to provide the questionnaire in digital form as well as on paper.
About Anne Kaes: Anne is a citizen of Luxembourg who came to the UK as a student; firstly to study at Goldsmith’s University and then at Brunel University; working for a BA in Sociology and a MA in International Relations. We are grateful to her for all her time and effort in producing our first ever questionnaire.
