Family Learning Programme at Sandhurst Primary School
The Family Learning Programme began in January ’09 for the Tamil Parents and their children who attend Sandhurst Primary School, Catford. The programme consists of 12 sessions per group; parents are equipped with the necessary tools to keep up with their children’s progress through school, as well as offering help with the parent’s own basic literacy in English. The sessions are facilitated by Raji & Padma from the South London Tamil Welfare Group in the supportive environment of Sandhurst Infants School. As well as providing them with excellent hospitality, Alison Legemah and Beverley Simpson have given the project a wide publicity for which we are grateful. The session times are: Wednesdays - 1.30pm until 3pm.
